A spectrum analysis of the interval velocity grid, having been derived from stacking velocity data, will reveal velocity values which are outside the normal range for the interval velocities, as judged from the limits to the normal distribution of the velocity values. ‘High’ and or ‘low’ values can be easily removed and rebuilt from the spectral analysis dialogue, as illustrated below.
