Noise in interval velocities can be safely removed where the spatial frequencies of the noise are higher than the ‘natural’ limit of the data which is controlled by the stacking process. This can be achieved in VelocityManager very easily without violating the real data, as illustrated below. The high frequency noise is effectively removed.
