Corporate objectives
At the company’s instigation 15 years ago, our goal was to research and develop numerical solutions and procedures to minimise uncertainty in velocity modelling and depth conversion procedures.
Achievements
We are proud to have achieved close cooperation between our Geophysicists, researchers, numerical analysts and software experts, which has brought about visionary research and development of highly practical and state-of-the-art solutions, offering our clients an innovative development and complete velocity modelling software solution.
Milestones
Some 35 numerical innovations and solutions have been intrinsically embedded into the core of VelocityManager, to both minimise uncertainty in computation, and avoid introducing uncertainty through poor performing algorithms and procedures.
The flagships of our success are:
SurfaSe™ - A second generation geostatistical gridding/surface fitting algorithm.
OptimisedResiduals™ - a very robust high performance 3D process for resudaul grid compution.
QuiCplot™ - Advanced interactive gridding contouring function for controlling and editing function residual grids.
IMRII™ - An innovative depth artefact computation and removal algorithm.
MWO™ - A leading edge methodology for computing all velocity functions (incl. VoK –Instantaneous Velocity vs. Depth), Supports vertical and deviated wells.
FuntionBrowser™ - To identify the most effective method for depth conversion.
FunctionRefine™ - A high performance 3D function editing and refinement feature.
3D Visualisation™ - An interactive versatile a multi-dimensional visualisation application.
HybridFunctions™ - An important and very high performance development for minimising uncertainty in velocity models from PSDM velocity data.
Future research and development
We continue to research and maintain a new generation, quality-focused software, The VelocityManager Suite, delivered through a ‘process managed’ and user friendly interface, the most efficient and productive methodologies, to deliver cost-effective solutions at the technological cutting edge.
